Our award-winning International Sales Team can provide the expertise to deliver truly international marketing.The London International Sales team is responsible for all international deals derived from UK agencies. Their purpose is to devise creative campaign concepts, which can be rolled out across all our global markets. The ideas generated from the team have won MM awards for Xbox, Nokia and HP campaigns and been shortlisted for awards with clients such at Philips and 20th Century Fox.
Working with the International Sales Team is a strong award winning Creative and Project Management team from around the world to bring to life any brief or idea into a dynamic multi-platform campaign.
Made up of experts from agency, creative and media backgrounds, the team provides a unique resource for advertisers who need effective answers for the new challenges of international marketing.
Global Sales
In 2006 Metro became the first ever print media owner to win the MM Award for Best Contribution by a Media Owner for the work on the Nokia 6630 campaign. Why did we win the award? Because our Global Sales team delivers a better, centralised solution to international advertisers needs.Based in our London HQ, and working across each of the 22 Metro countries, the Global Sales team drives and coordinates award winning international campaigns. The team is broken into 3 core areas:
Our Agency team, servicing London based international advertising agencies
Our Overseas team, servicing international advertising agencies based outside of the UK
Our Client team, servicing top level International clients around the world
These teams are supported by a strong and experienced in-house creative and project management team which can deliver innovative and bespoke solutions to our advertisers.
Understanding the needs and attitudes of readers can make any marketing more effective. So, as an additional service to our advertisers, we have also launched the Metro Life Panel. The Panel, made up of habitual Metro readers in each country, was designed to provide in-depth analysis and insight into the lifestyle and consumption habits of our audience, as well as pre and post campaign awareness studies.
In 2007 the Global Sales team will continue to build on their success over the recent years, growing our international business and strengthening our relationships with advertisers from all sectors.
Client Team
The Client team is based in our London HQ alongside the Global sales team. It was formed to offer a higher level of servicing to our key advertisers around the world and to deliver consistency and cost efficiencies through centralisation.
The team provides direct representation to our main clients, ensuring we fully understand their objectives and can deliver the most tailored and effective solutions to meet their marketing needs. It ensures that instead of standard solutions, clients can use our wealth of knowledge to deliver marketing communications precisely geared to the needs and interests of Metro readers from country to country.
The Overseas Team
The Overseas Team is also based in London and is responsible for growing numbers of clients with international budgets based outside of the UK.
Working with the Overseas Team are a number of regional representatives. They offer a local presence to our international clients in Asia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Portugal and North and South America.
