Mia Brunell

Chairperson of the Board of Directors

(Born 1965) Mia was elected Chairperson of the Board of Directors in May 2008. Mia has served as a non-executive Director of Metro S.A. since May 2006. Mia is President and CEO of Investment AB Kinnevik and has extensive financial and operating experience from having also held several positions at Modern Times Group MTG AB (an international media company and founder of Metro) and becoming its CFO in 2001. Mia is a Board member ofModern Times Group MTG AB, Millicom International Cellular S.A., Tele2 AB, Transcom World Wide S.A. and H & M Hennes & Maurtiz AB.Shareholdings: 24,580 A shares 24,580 B shares
Mr Didier Breton

Didier Breton
Non-executive Director

(Born 1953) Mr Didier Breton is currently a member of the senior team of Pamoja Capital, a private equity business founded in 2006 that invests across a number of industry sectors, and is responsible for the operations relating to the investee companies of Pamoja Capital. Previously, Didier was the Chief Operating Officer of Trader Classified Media, one of the largest classified advertising companies in the world, a position he held from 2000 until the company was sold in 2006. Prior to joining Trader, Didier was President of the Infrastructure & Systems Division at Groupe Bull. His previous roles also include managing international operations at Hewlett Packard and Valeo. He holds an MBA from the Institut Supérieur des Affaires and an Engineering degree from ICAM. Didier is a French national.Shareholdings: –
Erik M

Erik Mitteregger
Non-executive Director

(Born 1960) Erik has served as a non-executive Director of Metro International S.A. since May 2009. Erik is a member of the board of Investment AB Kinnevik since 2004. Erik also serves as Chairman of the board of Wise Group AB and is a member of the board of Firefly AB. He has previously been Head of Equity Research and a member of the Management Board at Alfred Berg Fondkommission 1989-1995. He was also a founding partner and fund manager at Brummer & Partners Kapitalförvaltning AB 1995-2002. Erik holds a degree in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics. Erik is a Swedish national.Shareholdings: 4 million warrant Swedish depositary receipts

Nigel Cooper
Non-executive Director

(Born 1949) Nigel was elected as a non-executive Director of Metro International S.A in May 2008. Until he left in 2005, Nigel spent 33 years in the accounting profession, including 21 years as a partner with KPMG in Milan and London. Between 1998 and 2005, Nigel was lead audit advisory partner in KPMG’s Information, Communications and Entertainment group based in London, specialising in advising leading global leading global companies across the media sector. Nigel is also a Non-Executive Director of Rightmove Group PLC, the UK’s leading property website which listed on the London Stock Exchange Exchange in 2006.Shareholdings: 12,290 A shares 12,290 B shares

Mario Queiroz
Non-executive Director

(Born 1966) Mario was elected as a non-executive Director of Metro International S.A in May 2008. He is the London-based Vice President of Product Management for Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Latin America, responsible for product strategy and implementation in these geographies as well as for the design of search, ads, and apps products across 14 of Google’s international R&D centres. His previous assignment as Google was to lead the company’s global IT product strategy and development. Prior to joining Google in 2005, Mario was with Hewlett-Packard for 16 years. He last served at HP as Vice President within a global operations function with responsibility for key elements of HP’s IT infurstructure. This followed engineering, product management, marketing, and operations positions in HP’s systems, PC, and printing businesses in California, Germany, and Spain.Shareholdings: 12,290 A shares 12,290 B shares

Michelle Guthrie
Non-executive Director 

(Born 1965) Michelle has served as a non-executive director of Metro International S.A since May 2010. Michelle is Chairman of Plan International Hong Kong, a global aid agency working on behalf of children in developing countries. Michelle was Managing Director and Senior Advisor of Providence Equity Partners, the world’s leading private equity firm focused on media, entertainment, communications and technology, from 2007 to 2010. Michelle began her career at STAR, a media and entertainment company in Asia wholly owned by News Corporation, where she held a number of key executive positions since 2001, finally as CEO from 2003 to 2007. Prior to this, Michelle was Director of Legal and Business Development at FOXTEL in Australia. She began her career within media at BSkyB in the UK. Earlier in her career Michelle was a lawyer at Allen, Allen & Hemsley in Australia and Singapore. Shareholdings: -

Mr Patrick Stahle
Non-executive Director

(Born 1955) Patrick has served as a non-executive director of Metro International S.A since May 2010. Patrick is a Board Director of Charm Communication Ltd, a TV advertising service provider in China and one of the biggest brokers to China Central TV. Patrick works part-time with Aegis Media Global Solutions which involves oversight of global strategy, product development and work within Aegis’ Executive Committee. He was until 1 April 2010 the Singapore based Chairman and CEO for Aegis Media APAC, part of the media and market research network Aegis Plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Patrick worked for Aegis Media for more than 10 years; as COO Carat Scandinavia, CEO Carat Sweden and CEO Aegis Media Nordic. Prior to this, Patrick launched and managed Canal+ pay TV channels in the Nordic region along with an e-learning start-up called KWorld. Over the years Patrick has been an active Board Director on several small and medium sized companies including several start-ups, focused on publishing, internet and marketing. Shareholdings: -
