METRO APPOINTS MANAGING DIRECTOR IN HONG KONG

Peter Kuo has over 20 years experience in General Management with retailing, banking, media and publishing groups. Peter joined the Apple Daily and Next Media Group in Hong Kong in 1996 as the General Manager with responsibility for the successful launch of the 'Apple Daily' newspaper, which became Hong Kong's second largest newspaper. Peter also managed the 'Next', 'Easy Finder', 'Sudden Weekly' and 'Eat & Travel' magazines and directories. Prior to joining Metro, Peter was Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Daily News.

Metro Hong Kong was launched under the title 'Metropolis Daily' in April 2002. 300,000 copies of the Chinese language paper are distributed daily from racks in the MTR subway system and by hand in the city centre.
